AI Lawyer
Terms of service
Last updated: August 22, 2026
What the service is
AI Lawyer (ailawyer.chat) is an AI chat that helps you sort out your legal situation, organize the facts and documents, and pin questions and notes to bring to a consultation with a licensed lawyer. By using it you accept these terms.
Not legal advice
Responses are generated by AI and can be wrong, incomplete, or unsuited to your situation. They are information to prepare with, not legal advice, and no attorney-client relationship is created by using the service. Conversations with AI Lawyer are not protected by attorney-client privilege. Legal deadlines such as limitations periods can expire while you prepare; consult a licensed lawyer in your area for advice on your matter, and do so promptly.
Emergencies and urgent matters
If you have been arrested, have a court date within days, or need a restraining order, contact a lawyer or the relevant authorities immediately instead of using this service.
Your account and conduct
You must be at least 16 years old. Keep your sign-in credentials confidential; you are responsible for activity under your account. Do not use the service to break the law, infringe others' rights, probe or disrupt the service, bypass usage limits, or bulk-extract its content.
Your content
You own what you put into the service. You give us the license needed to store, process, and display it in order to run the service, including processing your messages through third-party AI model providers to generate responses. We do not use your conversations to train models. If you share a chat or notes, anyone with the link you share can view what you shared.
Subscriptions and billing
Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis until you cancel, effective at the end of the current billing period. Prices may change with notice before your next renewal. Where required by law we provide refunds; otherwise fees are non-refundable.
Availability and liability
We may change, suspend, or discontinue features as the product evolves; the service is provided "as is" without warranties. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
Termination
You can stop using the service and request deletion of your account and data at any time at privacy@ailawyer.chat. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Changes
When these terms change materially, we will update this page and note the date at the top. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
